RIPSENV: Track Record and Technical Committees

Evolution: from technical network to leading think tank

RIPSENV began as a grassroots initiative: a committed working group of 17 electricity sector professionals. A first virtual meeting brought together 27 specialists, laying the foundations of a coordinated, voluntary international network. RIPSENV created 16 specialised technical committees under a horizontal organisational structure coordinated by the Steering and Rapporteur Committee. Today both entities operate in synergy: RIPSENV is the decentralised engineering force, while IIES serves as the institutional centre for strategic thinking.

Founding timeline

  1. November 2025 — RIPSENV is founded by 17 professionals; 27 attend the first virtual assembly

  2. Name and logotype chosen by open competition

  3. Organisational manifesto and Declaration of Principles

  4. 16 technical committees under horizontal coordination

  5. Forums, seminars and the «Al día con la energía» educational channel

  6. Educational cooperation agreement with CIEG

  7. April 2026 — IIES legally established in Florida, USA
